The author is the director of the Hispanic Research and Recruitment Center at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, where she oversees recruitment and language support programs for Spanish-speaking participants in clinical studies. Although this article refers to the medical field, it applies to all fields of translation.
