Web site translation

The Internet is becoming one of the major tools for international marketing. More and more companies realize how important it is to reach clients in their native language. Don't assume that all people in your target countries speak or read English.

Did you know that

  • 100 million people speak German as their mother tongue?
  • more than 20% of non-English Internet users are German native speakers?
  • although some of these are fluent in English, most people prefer to be addressed in their native language?

If your company is seeking a marketing presence in Germany, it is essential for your success to have your Web site translated.

  • You already have translations and/or various loose terminology lists. But you would like more consistency within your company and would like all your departments to use the same terminology. For that you will need one terminology database accessible to all your employees.
  • Or you have no foreign language terminology yet. You want to go global  and decide to have your company material translated. This is the best time to also have your own terminology database created. You will have consistency from the start!

We can create and organize a custom terminology database or list just for you! For more information please contact us.

You might not be sure about the quality of a translation and want a language professional and native speaker to have a look at it.

What the editing process includes:

  • Comparing the source with the target document and checking the translation for accurate and complete contents

  • Correcting non-idiomatic or incorrect phrases or sentences

  • Checking for correct terminology

  • Correcting grammar, style, spelling errors

Please send us your original source text and your translation and we will take care of it.

Proofreading

With the increasing use of the Internet for publishing information and with the introduction of the new German spelling rules there seems to be more and more confusion about correct spelling and a growing need for proofreading.

We find that 80% of the German material published on the Internet - including company Web sites - contains a significant amount of spelling and punctuation errors, sometimes even grammatical errors.

Why would you want to risk creating a bad impression of your high-quality products or services by publishing deficient advertising material and thus miss out on valuable sales opportunities?

Stop sign Grammatically deficient publications
  • create a negative corporate image with your customers

  • make you look incompetent and sloppy

  • are bad publicity for your products or services

Exclamation mark

With linguistically flawless publications
Check mark you leave a professional impression with your customers
Check mark you present your high-quality products and/or services in the light they deserve
Check mark YOU WIN!

Make sure your advertising material reflects your product and your company. Have all your German text material proofread for spelling, grammar, and style errors before publishing it if you are not 100% sure of its quality.
